With the snow falling in Maumelle, Arkansas this evening; I thought it was the perfect time to introduce you to Kristen and John David’s Winter Wonderland reception and all of the fabulous vendors involved. First off to capture the theme in the finest form, Radiant Designs uplit the room in lavender and cobalt blue shades with accented gobos projecting snowflakes on the walls. Owner, Jim Cozad, is great in understanding a clients’ vision and bringing the room to life; just as they had imagined. You can see how the Junior League of Little Rock’s ballroom was transformed by Jim’s lighting. Then we have the cakes….
Stephanie Boyd out did herself on these two. They looked spectacular and were delicious. If you are looking for a central Arkansas cake vendor, she is your go-to girl. Feel free to contact me and I can get you in touch with her. She makes cakes for a hobby;
which I love.
I have had the privilege of working with her on several weddings this year. All of the clients have been 100% satisfied when they have laid eyes on their cakes made by her.
The five tier white bridal cake was atop a silver cake stand lying above a layer of snow
. A diamond “P” monogram was the accent on top. Once the Bride arrived, her linen and crystal embossed bridal bouquet was set on the table. It was such a hit! For the groom’s cake, John David wanted all of his favorite teams to be represented. This was a perfect opportunity for Stephanie to showcase her topsy-turvy
Guests dined on Crave Creative Catering’s
buffet then danced the night away to The Fabulous Steeler Band
from Memphis, Tennessee. Check out the shots Jason Crader
First dance to “Stand By Me”
This Father-Daughter duo got down to “Tootie Fruity All Ruity” by Little Richard
Then “Angel Flying too close to the Ground” closed out the special dances with the Groom, John David, and his mother.
My favorite shot, is of Kristen and her mother. I loved this glance captured.
Now the decor, oh how I love when a bride wants to do something unique, and Kristen was just that type of bride. After finding a bridal bouquet made out of fabric from Etsy.com she decided that she wanted to stick with a non-floral decor for her wedding
and reception. This was such an easy task for a winter themed event.
Colors: Silver accents with lots of white.
Chiavari chairs, white linens, crystal table top chandeliers, silver glittered sticks cascading from glass vases; a little fake snow and feathers later…made this look complete!
Can not forget one of my favorite details, the Bride’s Besty
Johnson leopard heels….
Add a group of energetic friends and family, to make this wedding reception complete!
What a great party it was- exactly what the bride and groom wanted!
Special thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Pittman for
letting Young Designs assist in their wedding day!
Wish you all the best!
